So the new APR cat-back system for $999 has a "meatier-throaty" sound to it vs. Milltek?

Default I don't know how you drew that conclusion from my post, but...

BOTH the APR and the Milltek share similar decibel levels inside the cabin. I think the Milltek has the most European/sophisticated tonal quality out there, however. It's deep, resonant, and quiet above 3000rpm. I have yet to fix the leaks at two joints on mine, though. Simple fix, but annoying. I would buy the Milltek over the APR(and did), but if you want something more flashy, i.e., that lets people know you are coming, get the VM1.
Otherwise, either the APR or Milltek would be a good choice. APR's products are solid and reliable, IMO.

Default No way...the new APR exhaust is WAY louder than the Milltek!

Especially with downpipes.

Default The Borla is a notch louder than the Milltek...

Interior noise is more than the Milltek too. Still a far cry from the VM1.

Default New or old, Nick?

I didn't feel much difference b/w the two audibly. I'm speaking of the "new" exhaust, of course, not the original xtra-crispy

Default Here's a scenario...

In order of sheer volume...(Help me out, peeps) Loudest to quietest...

APR v.1
UUC VM2
UUC VM1
APR v.2
BORLA
MTM
MILLTEK
SCORPION
SUPERSPRINT
Haven't gotten feedback on the Forge catback...don't know
And I haven't personally heard all of these exhausts on an S4, so I'm using what folks have discerned from their experiences, and subsequently, what they have shared here. There are definitely some fine lines between a few of these. Tonal quality was not taken into account.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I am too fruity, today.

Default Forge is the same as the Milltek...

MTM is actually the same as the Forge and Milltek too. At least that is my impression of hearing the two.
