Default Anyone have scratches on the front yet..under the bumper

I have tried to be careful when going out of driveways, by taking it at an angle. Unfortunately it has still scraped about twice or so and the result is some scratches.

Any ideas or advice on how to buff these out? Or is it just what you have to live with?

Thanks

Default I've got several. I only know where I got one particularly bad one. It's only visible...

if you look for it, so I just live with it. All the scratches are on the underside of the bumper, so it doesn't bother me. I'll probably get it fixed one of these days.

If you can't see them (except from under the car), I wouldn't worry too much....

yup... as P to the B said, I can't see 'em unless I'm on the ground so I don't care.

Default I did that to my S4 a few months ago while parking...

I accidentally let the front lip go over a very high parking curb that was in front of my car. Left several really long and deep scratches. It was bothering the sh_t out of me for weeks!!! (I was more mad at myself for messing up than anything else). I ended up buffing them out as much as possible with some hand compound (but I'm sure I took off some of the clear coat as well!). Fortunately, you really don't see it unless you look under the front of the car, and I don't even think about it any more. That is, until you brought it up...thanks a lot! (just kidding).

Default Suggestion On Driving Angle...

...I always take driveways as close to 180 degrees as possible (parallel to the driveway). I've really never had a problem scraping. I've driven cars only 3.0 to 3.5" off the ground and very rarely scraped anything.

You just have to drive slow and methodically.

I personally think the stock S4 is a 4 x 4 compared to other dropped cars. Try driving a wide body Hammann 330i with a huge front spoiler =)

Good luck and take care!

Default Yeah, they look like white scratches. I don't think they are that deep.

So hopefully I can just buff them out next time I wash my car.
