That's new...
I've seen the revision that PaJohn got last year, and it had some beefier hose on it, but no sheathing like you've pictured here.
They do fall apart quite easily. In fact, if you have to touch it at all in the course of working with your car, you may as well order up the replacement, because you'll need it.

Hmmm...I might have to order one of those up. I think mine is cracked and leaking
by the lower middle connection. And being I updated my manifold, it makes for a cleaner install cuz you can just cut that quick-fit connection that goes into the intake mani and use an up-to-date one. $80 isn't bad.
