Default We can get the REMSA GOLD from Midtex Audi at 888-489-2834 GROUP BUY? Anyone Interested?

Hello fellow S4 owners. I guess BMWSLAYER is one of the few who has actually used the Remsa Gold brake pads and swears by it. I wanted to see if we can get a group buy going on these pads. I did a search and the price is somewhere between $70 to $95 for the pads. Not sure if those are fronts or rears. I will call Randy at Midtex Audi tomorrow to see what the actual cost is and what we can get it for if we do a group buy. Please e-mail me at Litespeeds@hotmail.com if you are interested. Thanks.

Sidney

Default MidTex Audi in Plainfield, IL. is the only place in the U.S. to get Remsa Gold Racing pads..

Randy is a great friend and he knows his Audi's, he will give u a great deal even if u do a single buy or even a group buy, i talk to him like everyday. these are great pads.

Default i had Mintex Red box and they produced tons of dust and they chewed up my ATE rotors

pads and rotors lasted 5 months only, my Remsa and Zimmermanns 3yrs so far.

Default Mintex is junk..i had them..what a waste...Remsa has great stopping power...

they produce very, very little dust even under heavy braking due to hard driving, even in cold weather braking or wet i can vouch for that. I guess AudiSport liked that quality in those brand of pads. They have been on my Audi for atleast 3yrs w/zimmermanns compared to the mintex red box( supposed to be the best in the mintex like of pads..LOL). my former mintex pads squeaked and made my wheels blacker then oem..now that bad. so give Randy a call and tell Bmwslayer sent you, he will hook u up. So all in all they are a great Street pad and will not set you back, for the performance and longtivity of the pad they are cheap. Mine cost me $75.00 a set.

Default does it rattle when you're on the brakes?

if not, maybe they didn't get both sides of the brake pad spring secured (which keeps the pad from moving around).

here's a pic of my rear brake pad with one side of the V-shaped spring poking out...it should be *underneath* the caliper...and it was the cause of a really annoying rattle that I had until I adjusted it.

Default seems to be when I go over even the slightest bump...

not specific to when I'm braking. I'll double check this tomorrow morning.

Check out <a href="http://www.remsaofamerica.com/pdf2002/catalog_ameri2002.pdf">page 6</a> of their catalog.
