Default Anyone heard the new APR 2 muffler exhaust?

Can you compare it to any of the other S4 exhausts? Borla? Forge/Milltek? Original APR? UUC? MTM?

Default I've heard it paired w/ their turbo-back. And yes, I can compare all of those. :)

(I used to have the APR SRT cat back). W/ the downpipes at least, it was quieter than mine was but it still droned and it was still too loud for my tastes. It will probably be fine for many people, but just not what I wanted. (My Forge/Milltek arrived yesterday I'd say the new APR I heard was louder than the Borla system (but perhaps w/o downpipes it would be close to the same). The UUC Vm1 is louder than it, but I found my first APR was louder than the Vm1... The Forge/Milltek and MTM are still the quietest systems.

Hope that helps (and wasn't too confusing!). I'm very happy w/ the Forge/Milltek (hopefully I can install tonight or this weekend...). Tips look great, and they also cleaned up some of the finish issues some have (okay, at least I previously) had issue with.

Can you compare against Scorpion and Supersprint as well?

APR's finish actually looks better than the Forge

Default They're around the same loudness of the MTM and Forge/Milltek exhaust.

I like my Scorpion alot. Very quiet when cruising. I took a fellow forum member for a ride and he forgot I had an exhaust on the car. Quality is also extremely good. I'm hoping to get an MPEG of the car with the exhaust in a week or two. If I do, I'll post it.

Default With the recent revisements I mentioned they're a lot closer.

I'd probably now give a slight edge to APR in that category, but my APR also turned gold, and I haaated that. Tried polishing w/ everything to no avail. I've never seen an MTM or Milltek turn gold.

Default So, the new APR is louder than the Forge/Milltek?

Sorry, your post was a little bit confusing. The new APR is quieter than your old APR (w/ SRT), right? The new APR is louder than the Forge/Milltek, right?

Default Sorry. Yes, definitely.

I was afraid that wasn't coming across right. It's definitely louder, but again this was w/ downpipes.

I'll try and reframe (IMO):

Loudest...>...Quietest:
APR w/ SRT
UUC Vm1
APR w/o SRT (but had downpipes)
Borla (very close to above though)
MTM, Forge/Milltek

Ahh, the new APR (w/o SRT) was similar in sound to the Borla?
