If the new APR is only a little bit louder than either of them, I'd consider it, but if it's more than that or it drones, then it's out.

I guess I'll go with the Forge/Milltek. Only heard good things so far (other than the welding).

Oh yeah, I'm running with the stock downpipes. The comparison's your making, were they all with the stock downpipes? Or all with an aftermarket one? Or a mix of both?

Given you're considering the Milltek (it didn't sound like you were before) I'd definitely recommend it then. Yes, I found the new APR w/ downpipes to drone (and I don't think downpipes make a droning noise, Ben's MTM cat back w/ APR pipes didn't...) . Not a terrible drone but kinda like the Borla does, and as I'm recalling it was a bit more.

I'll see if I can get you some pics of my Milltek (I don't have a digicam). The welds are a lot cleaner than the previous version. And best of all the sound is perfect. Argh, I wanna install it tonight... Better run home! E-mail me if you have more q's.

(and all the comparisons I was making besides what was noted above were w/o downpipes)

Well compared to stock
I just installed the APR 2 cat back 2 days ago.
It sound is reverse of what you think it would be.
It has fairly loud low tone at idle and right off idle.
Cruising and hwy speed it still can be heard, but not to bad.
This might get annoying after 2 or more hrs road trip though.
It is quietest during WOT, and with a chip it is quieter than stock as there is no sand blaster noise.
The fit and finish is top notch with very good welds.
Nice performance gains above 4K RPM's with stock and chip.
