Default I've learned to work my way around limp mode by not letting it shift on its own @ redline =) That..

CLUNK scares you ****less the first time it goes into it. Feels like the transmission fell out on the road

Default From my experiences with VB upgrades, the shifting isn't jerky, it was fast and crisp...

you could always hold the gear in first in traffic, no? Just understand that over time your tranny is going to be hurting if you don't eventually do something about it.

Default At the moment I am working with some folks to get a 5HP24FLA (RS6) box fitted in my S4...

I'm not sure it'll work, but fairly convinced that it will. I've got the gearbox and the rear end waiting for a rack at WMS. I will do the torque converter and fit an auxilliary coolet at the same time. The enhanced torque spec of the 5HP24 combined with the lighter weight and better cooling of the S4 should do well and allow me to maintain good streetability.

We'll see.

At that point, one might as well have the control of a true manual transmission, in my book.

Default 3zero3 made the seal that's in my torque converter in the moment...

Trevor's a good guy. I'll give him a call too.
