Default I don't have them, but from what I've gathered over the years, they are just as unreliable as K03s.

You *might* gain 20-30whp over OEM K03s, but if you're going through the trouble of dropping your motor, I really don't see why anyone would risk having to drop it *again* (after they blow) when you can just put in K04s and inlets for $2500 and call it a day.

Default You and I are in the same boat. I'm looking for any reason to get a k03 based hybrid

and avoid the extra cost inlets and the turbos themselves.

I think, in the long run, playing the odds, I'll end up with k04s, since I don't want to pull my engine 2x.

Unless I find that the first pull was just do darned easy that I won't mind another. not likely.

Default I wouldn't buy them. I would just get plain KO4s and be done with it. Haven't heard anything good

about them and heard of issues on reliability as well.

Default 2nd. General concensus around here is KO4>any KO3 hyrbid or not....

just not worth the extra money to pull the engine again if they go. Might as well go KO4's in first place.

Default The huge difference in power alone from K03 hybrids to K04s justifies the price increase.

Not to mention the reliability factor.

Default Reliablility is going to win out with me. Power is purely 2ndary.

If you have hybrids putting out 400+ hp, and k04s putting out 430+, to me it doesn't matter, since either way, it's a huge boost.

But, after spending $1800 on hybrids vs $2600 for k04's, I don't want to risk forking out $ for a 3rd set of turbos. This is going to be a 1x replacement for me, and that pretty much means k04s.

Or, my car could go another 50-60k miles like PaJohn's.
