Default Anyone here running MTM springs??

What shocks are you running them with....how's the ride, height, roll, handling??

Thanks....Car I'm getting has MTM springs installed and stock shocks. I'm sure the stock shocks will go sooner than later becuase of this...just want some feedback on the how they (springs) ride.

thanks,

Pete

Default waste of time, they're garbage.

I ran MTM springs awhile ago, then the MTM springs with the "matched" sport shocks, the ride quality was pathetic. It was bouncy, underdamped and the handling was just not there. I'd go with bilstein shocks/H&R springs for less money in a heartbeat, or better yet H&R coilovers or Koni/Stasis Street coilovers.

edit: and yes the stock shocks will go south if they already haven't.

Default I couldn't be happier with my MTM Full setup ... one of the best fixed height kits I've experienced

I have 40k miles on the MTM/Eibach springs with matched Konis (wound to MTM spec) and it still rides great. I've never found it to be "bouncy" or "pogo" like some mismatched spring/damper kits. I wouldn't recommend running stock dampers with the MTM springs, however.

I think you are not speaking for the majority of users.

Default Yeah, at least in the year I had them on my '00, never had a problem with them.

In fact, I liked the overall feel more than my Intrax setup, but the car was too damn low for Boston.

Default what?

I don't know what your requirements are for ride quality - but I've ran MTM springs for 35K miles and was very happy.

Do you have actual evidence of stock shocks going south with MTM springs?

I've driven cars with H&R Ultras and did not feel any improvement over MTM springs
