Default 3 simple steps

1) remove MAF
2) soak MAF in 90% or better Isopropyl (from Longs Drugs) (eg, in a ziplock bag)
3) reinstall MAF

MAF looks like:

it's located here:

Default I thought I read a post that talked about using some aerosol spray electronics cleaner...

I would think this would work, although I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS so this is just my opinion. I would try the compressed air in a can (it contains some solvent)if you can't find actual electronics cleaner. As long as whatever you are using doesn't leave a residue, you should be OK. Hopefully someone will confirm or deny this from actual experience. Good luck!

Default You could also..

just pull the sensor off with 2 screws. I believe this should work just as well and it's much much easier.
