Default Anyone interested in upgrading rotors to Stock brakes?

I'm talking to a guy that says that he has better rotors than OEM. slotted/cryo'd

I'm still waiting for details...but they will be MUCH less than AWE or Coleman replirotors.

I'm considering a GroupBuy if there's enough interest.

Default Keep tracking this thread...I'll let you know what I find out.

I don't feel the need to upgrade the whole system.

I was quoted $500 for all four corners...but I'm trying to see about group pricing.

I'm also trying to confirm exactly what we'd be getting....so stay in touch. I'll let you know.

For comparision - The colemans are 800 for JUST the fronts, and the AWE ones are ~650 for JUST the fronts.

I'll keep you posted.

Default BTW, I'm not really in a rush ... are you? I've been data gathering for months now

and I just heard from that guy today.

I'm still waiting to confirm:
material makeup
options:
slotted
cross drilled (not my intentions)
cryo'd
weight
sizing
spokes are where they are supposed to be.

I live in the area of this tuner...so I'll be able to test them for size before getting any other people involved.

On the colemans...personally, I think it's ridiculous to spend that much cash on a product that just burns up.

Default Then why are there so many people that claim otherwise?

I've heard comparisions on race cars.

Rotors w/o last 2 sessions vs cryo'd that last 12 sessions and are worn much more evenly.

I'm not an expert...but there seems to be plenty of supporting evidence.

Default it's the slotting/cross drills that make it look cool and add at least

20HP...just like those greddy, NOS, and Nuespeed stickers =P

Default ok...I'm not the expert...I can deal with that. Do you have the link with more detailed reports?

So, back to the beginning....are Colemans and AWEs the only options?
