Default anyone know anything about g05 coolant?

im running low and the parts store near my house has g05. he says that g05 is interchangable with g12. BS or is it legit?

Our cars are pretty much g12 specific. Go to the local vw dealer for it.

Default local vw dealer = over an hour away. i dont want to risk driving with it under the MIN mark

i dont know if i have a leak or not, i wanted to fill it then check.

G12+ now, G12 has been shown to cause deterioration of some cooling system components

Default The g12 should really be flushed. It's crap and if you plan on keeping the car a while, there's no

reason to use it. Add water now, flush and add g12+ or g05 later. The g12+ and g05 can be mixed.

Search audiworld for "g12 g05". There's been a lot of posts by Audi Junkie in other forums on this.

sure, or tap. If you're going to flush it in a few months, tap isn't going to kill you.

Default D'oh I spent like $60 bucks a couple months ago on the old stuff from the VW dealer!

Oh well, My water-pump has but 6k on it anyhow, I guess I can consider it a flush
