Default I think that the trim ring comes off and there are some screws behind that.

Default How does the trim "ring" come off? Looks like the switches are part of it.

I've pulled as hard as I dare, without knowing for sure it pops off!
Jim De Arras

Default Got it! You open the ashtray, grab the top and bottom of the climate control module,,

with both hands, and pull REAL hard! The whole unit snaps out, spring clips hold it in place, VERY tightly!
Jim De Arras

Default Hey Jim, do you know how to take out the ashtray drawer if it is stuck?

You know there is a rediculously small amount of space under the ashtray tray perfect for a nickel's thickness.

I've done this 3 times asking the dealer. How the hell do you get the ashtray drawer to come out if it is "frozen" in the closed position?

I figured I'd ask since you are already there.

maybe some pics. I know I'm not the only one that's been a clutz here.

Default This happened to me to. This is what I did...

...I pulled the shifter trim plate back so I could actually get underneath the ashytray door. I was then able to wiggle the offending piece of debris out of the way and free the ashtray.

Default Probably the best way, if JoshlK's method fails, is to remove the radio, then push the climate

control module out from it's rear, clearing the two bolts that hold the ashtray in.
Jim De Arras
