anyone know if one can swap lock cores in the thule evolution boxes?

sure, just like on every thule product,,,, insert master key, turn 45°, pull out the lock insert
from the cylinder... remove the master key, put it in the new lock insert and replace,, hold the lock insert in place while you remove the master key, and your all set...

doesn't it have to be "unlocked" to use the master key? on this box i can't get the key out....
when it's unlocked... so i can't see how to swap cores.
but then again this box is kinda broken. the "rails" that go to the front latch are all warped (possibly from the nose of the box lifting at speed?) so maybe i just can't open the lock all the way?
