anyone know for sure if a 235/40/17 AVS will fit on a S4 with stock wheels

235 tire will give you 5mm extra width both internally and externally on the stock wheel. Since clearance in the rear is only 5-6mm at best, you're almost certain to rub. Also, 7.5" wheel is a little too narrow for 235 tire. 8 or 8.5" is optimal. Thirdly, 235/40 tire will give a 2.3% decrease in rolling diameter leading to an over-read of your mileage by the same percentage on the odometer. IMHO, stay with 225 tire. Just get a better one
