Default Anyone know what to make of this log?

This is a log of a steady cruise at about 18% throttle up a slight incline at 4000 rpm in 4th gear.

Pressure tested, ECU chips swapped, N75's swapped, DV's swapped.

All known good parts have been installed on this car for testing.

The car makes 1 bar or more of boost at all times, other than at idle. Trying to hold a steady speed is a nightmare as boost surges continuously between 10-25 psi.

NO CODES! LOL!

Leaky wastegate hose or stuck actuator? Does the A4 have a N249 valve to dump boost with the BPV?

Default yes, drive by wire A4's have this N249

I just looped the hoses on my N249 and run the BPV right off the intake manifold.

Default So would you say that looks like the wastegate is staying shut for some reason and the ECU is

probably cycling the N249 to dump boost?

I've thought about dumping the n249, but I haven't had problems with it yet.

Default could be a stuck wastegate, but the car runs ok with a stock chip

so that would lead me to believe the programming is kinda wacky.

https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1963125.phtml</a

Default Oh fun :)

Did it just start doing this? I'd still check for a wastegate actuator line leak.

Do you have any MBCs lying around? would be interesting just to see what happens.

Default I'm just an outsider

I'm told all the vac lines to and from turbo/N75 were replaced and are good. I agree checking the wastegate is a good idea. Any other boost controlling device would be a good idea. I've suggested running the car with no boost control other than the wastegate spring tension to see what happens. I know my turbo will only hit 8 psi and it's supposed to. Not sure about an A4 K04.
