What I did was tap on the beams and you can hear it rattle or ring. Add the dynomat until its just a thud. Remember to not put the dynomat on any part of the window motor or associated parts to make it jam. When you are looking at it, you will know. Pretty much add it to where ever it clinks loud. Add the dynomat to the skin of the door. Try to cover as much of the exposed metal.
The rear seat is really an option for me. I didn't do it on my car because I wanted to hear the exhaust but my friend who has a Miltek added it and the exhaust note is like stock inside the cabin.
Trunk skin you should apply it like the door skins. Need to remove the fuzzy screws.
Rear speaker deck needs to be pulled and apply it to the metal. From my experience its good to add 4x6" peices spaced out rather than covering everything. You just don't want it to resonate.
Hope this helps. Remember this is just what I did and my experience with 4 cars with the help of Kent. So others might have different input and advice.
Oh and one more thing. You will bleed so be careful. Make sure you clean the areas where you are applying the dynomat.

with the fact dynomat is a bit sticky. If you have gorilla hands forget it. Find some poor chump to help you.
Another thing, you can see those large greyish white plastic things on the door. Those can be removed for more clearance.

The rear deck and spare wheel well act like a giant speaker. Dynomat here will probably have the greatest impact. I also put single layers under the the rear seat, floor pan, and tranny tunnel. Next project - doors.
Made a difference for me - exhaust drone was reduced. That said, the only real solution IMO to exhaust drone is to change the resonator and/or muffler.
