Is anyone parting a 2000 S4? I am looking for aluminum uprights - anyone got em?

i don't remember their weight - someone weighed them and cut one open once.
it wasn't a huge difference.
you need 00 lower arms but the upper arms are the same.
also - you get the added benefit of no seized pinch bolt =)

the upright needs diff lower arms, and diff wheel bearing ... but pinch bolt corrosion is still poss
if salt is introduced into the mix. galvanic corrosion also pwns

no not really. im not doing it for weight so much ... more like i have old wheel bearings, and old control arms sitting around. so its either get new arms for iron uprights, or get alum uprights
