Default Transmission type is not a factor.

A two step is a lower rev limiter which can be set on the IGNITION BOX.

Default oh then not what im talking about.

unless that builds boost. im talking about the thing that you would use if you would want to make boost while sitting in neutral.

Default you're thinking anti-lag, but for 1/4 mile you'd use nitrous...

...with a boost shut off (at least I think you would).

So rally cars and JGTC cars run anti-lag systems to maintain boost when braking/downshifting into turns so that when they go for the gas, they get all the motor has and don't have to wait for boost to build.

You're essentially running valve overlap and pushing fuel into the exhaust manifold (unburnt) to flame off on the manifold and keep the turbine spinning.

For the 1/4 mile, you're not really downshifting and braking (at least, not needing full boost when you're doing it). So you could run a nitrous shot that shuts off once you make full boost to compensate for the lag (probably can find more on this from Supra owners).

This is all my rambling, I'm no drag racer, nor do I build anti-lag motors for WRC or JGTC...

Default That's a 2-step.

The thing that holds the transmission between reverse and 1st gear (in an auto) is a "transbrake". The thing that keeps a 2WD car from moving while doing a burnout is called a "line-lock".
