Default Anyone running 245/40/17s? Will they rub without rolling the fender?

I'm thinking about getting some AutoX tires on 17x8.5 SSR Comps ET35. Anyone have any experience with this size? TIA.

Default Too wide for the car. It will follow every crack and divit in the road.

Plus, you really need a 9" wide rim. In truth, my car handled best with the stock size tire with an 8" rim.

Wouldn't you want a little more meat on the road? Also--depends on the tire you're using.

Default More isn't always better. It depends on the tire and rim width .

My car handled best with the stock size. Not the OE tire, but the size :-)

Default Bull****. My Toyo's on 17x8 rims are awesome.

They do not follow every crack or divot, in fact their actually better at not following ruts than my 205/50x16 snow tires.

They do look good. You have no rubbing issues? What size?
