Yes. I keep reading that the Exhaust housing is the bottleneck. So, why not run
an mate an K04 Compressor housing and wheel to a RS6 center section, Housing and wheel.

You'd have to have the RS4 compressor housing machined to accept the large diameter RS6 wheel.
Which costs $$$ and you need to be sure the machine shop knows what theyre doing and is capable of doing the work.
Easier solution would be hacking up the stock RS6 outlet pipe if clearence is an issue. Even better solution (if you can find em) would be using these compressor housings:

I personallyu measured the RS6 inducer off the compressor and it came out to 43.18mm ...exactly 1.7 inches so that TT225 housing uses the same exact size inducer wheel...would be the perfect fit and the housing itself looks physically larger.

^ nevermind, misread your post :-) ...i've never heard of K04 comp housing/wheel + RS6 housing
+ turbine...I do think an easier route would be just using an entire RS6 CHRA and using either RS6 housing or tt225. That way, don't have to worry about having the wheels rebalanced...

love the TT225 idea actually, you got the comp maps for them? Need to see what gain there are to be
had. They do look physically bigger, so I wonder what fitment issue we would run into.
Also, not sure if they can be found on the cheap. So if you are spending 2-3K on full RS6 + whatever the 225 cold side housings cost, it adds up fast. Plus got to throw in some hot side work.
Anyway, I think this is worth looking into further.

ok, so I think I am comparing apples to oranges here
that 225 map looks good, from my limited understanding, but I don't think we are really going to know **** until we get one of them on an RS6 snail.
I'll see if I can score a used 225 housing, and have it flowed with the other RS6 and see what we get. Gibs me a few weeks. And if you can find a place that flows turbos for cheap, let me know.
