Anyone in S. Cali got a speeding ticket vc22348(b)? If so, any tips on how to reduce/fight it?

Driving in Excess of 100 Miles Per Hour: Suspension
13355. The department shall immediately suspend the privilege of any person to operate a motor vehicle upon receipt of a duly certified abstract of the record of any court showing that the person has been convicted of a violation of subdivision (b) of Section 22348, or upon a receipt of a report of a judge of a juvenile court, a juvenile traffic hearing officer, or a referee of a juvenile court showing that the person has been found to have committed a violation of subdivision (b) of Section 22348 under the following conditions and for the periods, as follows:
(a) Upon a conviction or finding of an offense under subdivision (b) of Section 22348 which occurred within three years of a prior offense resulting in a conviction of an offense under subdivision (b) of Section 22348, the privilege shall be suspended for a period of six months, or the privilege shall be restricted for six months to necessary travel to and from the person's place of employment and, if driving a motor vehicle is necessary to perform the duties of the person's employment, restricted to driving within the person's scope of employment.
(b) Upon a conviction or finding of an offense under subdivision (b) of Section 22348 which occurred within five years of two or more prior offenses resulting in convictions of offenses under subdivision (b) of Section 22348, the privilege shall be suspended for a period of one year, or the privilege shall be restricted for one year to necessary travel to and from the person's place of employment and, if driving a motor vehicle is necessary to perform the duties of the person's employment, restricted to driving within the person's scope of employment.<ul><li><a href="http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d06/vc13355.htm">DMV link</a></li></ul>

Mine wasn't as bad, I had an exceeding the Speed limit under 100 (83 in a 65 was marked)
The officer didn't have a whole lot to begin with though. He didn't pace me or get me on radar, he just caught up to me and pulled me over. I got some forms from ticket assassin and did the trial by mail. I did everything at the last minute it was due to extend the process as long as possible. I don't know if this guy just couldn't remember anything or what but he ended up not responding in the 1 month they have. The basic text of the plea was Not Guilty but if you find me guilty, please reduce my fine and allow me to do traffic school. Saved me $180 (- the $15 I sent in to ticket assassin) and a saturday (as well as letting me save traffic school for when I deserve it).

Arbi-- I fought the same violation (22348B) and won...email me for more details...
I got a ticket in so cal for 22348(b) on the 5 FWY. OBVIOUSLY I wasn't going that fast.
Anyway, I decided to fight it, so I did my research, followed the procedures of the court, and won my case. It wasn't easy, but the chances are stacked against you if you decide to lay down and take the hit. Your best odds are to fight it and see what happens.
Does your ticket show any other violations, such as reckless driving, or is it marked as a "misdemeanor"? If it's an infraction, you'll probably be better off.
