Default You'll like the RA1's.

They'll have very familiar turn-in characteristics and will have more mid-corner stick.

And thanks for the congrats.

BTW, we'll just see about that straightaway!

Default The RA1s are very square. My 225/40/18s rubbed alot before I rolled the fenders.

Now they occasionally rub but my car is quite a bit lower than yours.

Default I'll take ya in the straight!!!!

I get to start half way down the straight though!!
RA-1 are nice, I have only used them for a 1 day at buttonwillow with Hotchkis. Full tread, drove up there on them, were kinda slippery at first : ) then middle of 2nd session started getting better, very consistent in 3 and 4th sessions. Seem to have worn better(lasting longer) than the kumho V700's I had.

My set seem to have taken 5 sessions at buttonwillow(1 day) very well.
And that is with a heavy pig of a car the A6. Granted I drive slower than most out there ), the tires held up very well. THey were slippery at first because they were brand new, had only 1 week to drive them around town and then drove up to BW with them on. And they were full tread.
THe grip will be higher with others like hoosiers, but the RA1 seems like it will hold up better and last longer.
I think my kumhos had a little more grip but they tended to get slippery towards the end of the sessions after half worn.(Escta V700). I was running 235/40-17 on 17x8.5 wheel.
