I have the GRB451's. What is a Avenesis?
Dont see that even listed on their web site.

They are all the rage in the autocross community. My friend with the MCoupe raves about them.
I'm not sure whether they are R compound or not. From what I remember, he said that they were comparable, with just as comparable wear.
Falken is trying to break into this market so they seem to be working extra hard and this tire seems to be the result.
