Anyone using axxis ultimate pads with stock caliper? how are they?
#3
I just had the stage 2 stoptech's installed yesterday
My first impressions are that they don't bite near as hard at initial application as the stock pads - I no longer have that "grabby" feel when first applting the brakes. When I bedded them in last night, I did get a little fade after 8 hard stops from 60 - 5 mph and they were smoking after 10!
Of course I also changed rotors, went to SS lines, and Motul 600 at the same time, so these may also contribute to the feel of the brakes. I think modulating these pads will be easier than with the stock pads.
I may ask the shop to do another bleed for me, just to make sure all the air is out of the lines, since the pedal seems softer.

Any performance gains from Mintex Redbox fr+r......less fade, less dust, less grabbiness than stock?
