Default Anyone want to go pay off my S4 loan for me?

I want to buy the wifey an S6 and am not in a position to afford two expensive car payments right now (her car is paid for). I owe about $18.8k now, and have 27 payments to go. =P

Default see, you should have been smart and just bought the car outright.

its nice not having to deal with car payments.

Default Well, let me see, at the time of purchase I was 27, 2 years out of law school...

...had just bought a $240,000 home in the previous year, just paid off $20,000 in credit card debt accumulated in 7 years of school and owed nearly $50,000 in student loans. I was hardly capable of paying cash. Now, at the ripe old age of 30 with 5 years of work experience, I could probably scrounge together just barely enough to pay off the S4 if I cashed out my savings and retirement. That hardly seems prudent. My net worth when I bought my S4 was probably about $-0-, which was quite a step up from where it was 2 years before that. So paying cash then wasn't an option. I will probably wholly or partially finance my next 1-2 cars and my wife's next 1-2 cars before I'm ready to deliquify myself to the extent I'd be comfortable to do in order to buy a car we'd want.

Default Although sh*t, if I'd just left my S4 stock and paid off my loan with mod money...

...I bet I'd only owe a few thousand right now, and would have it paid off this fall.

Default Look at the bright side. If you left it stock and invested the difference in the stock market.

You'd still be poor and you'd also be slow :-)

Default My mutual fund is about at the same point it was 3 years ago...

...as a whole, if it weren't for my Enron purchase last year, I bet I've made money in the stock market over the last 3 years.
