Default Re: What' the defense against this? An aftermarket alarm?

I've read previously on this board that the the alarm that comes with the car is disarmed by unlocking the door. Hence the hole drilled through the front door so the locking mechanism can be manipulated. If an aftermarket alarm is installed, it won't also work of the door lock, will it?

Default No they had gloves on, They even changed a flat tire with the spare

and screwed the wheel with the flat back down, using the gloves Audi provides.

Default An answer to your ?? My Aladdin 2000 doesn't disarm with the key...

It can only be disarmed with the remote. So, even if they get past the shock sensor and pop a hole in the door, and manipulate the door lock as pictured here, the alarm is still armed and as soon as they open the door, WAILING SIRENS, FLASHING LIGHTS, BEEPING REMOTE, IGNITION KILLED,
PHONE CALL TO COPS MADE, AND VOILA!!

Your alarm calls the cops?

Default Thanks! Here's another question for you...

Some thieves have boxes that will disarm your alarm by sampling a ton of codes until they find the one that your alarm uses. Does the Aladdin, or any other alarm for that matter, deal with this problem?
