Default Apexi AVC-R wiring help

I found a couple of links via search for wiring my new AVC-R, but I'm stumped on one wire.

Power... All the posts I've found have said that power goes to the red/green wire, pin 5 of the brown 6 pin connector that supplies power to the "leak detection pump".

Well, my brown connector is not 6 pins and does not have a red/green wire. However, my orange connector has a red/green wire that is a slightly heavier gauge than the others and could be carrying power. Its not the only red/green wire though as there is one other (I believe in the white connector).

I have a 2000 6-spd. Has anyone installed one of these things on the same car and could you offer some wiring assistance?

No problem with vehicle speed, rpm, throttle position...

Thanks,
Matt

Default LOL, funny. Power was the easiest for me.

However I tapped the wrong wire for throttle position, where did you happen to find that one? and I may have tapped the wrong one for vehicle speed .. what did you have for that one?

Power I pulled from under the dash. I just cut the black plastic grommet and pulled the power wire into the cabin, then tapped it off the wire box under the steering column. same place I get power for the Valentine 1 radar detector. Its switched power so it only turns on when the ignition turns on.

Default Locations...

Throttle position - brown/red of white connector
speed - white/blue of black connector

I could run power under the dash, but I was really hoping to keep everything in the ecu box.

Default I hear ya, but I just found it alot easier to go under the dash for power and ground

I felt better about just ring terminal'ing the power and putting it on that 75X or whatever terminal rather than cut and splice another tiny ECU wire. soooo much easier. it will work just the same. power is power. mine works great

Default Good Idea, I guess I could....

Run the other 3 or 4 wires up in to the box from below and leave the power and 2 grounds down under the dash.

Thanks,
Matt

Yes, thats what I did. Tore off the plastic grommet and used my own wire tie\electric tape scheme.
