Default APR center vent boost gauge wiring question?

I just realized that there is no connection for the light. Can I just run a wire from one post to a switched power source and the other post to a ground or is this more complicated?

Anyone have a clean solution?

Thanks.

APR might be the relevant authority on the subject. Try calling them to see what they recommend.

Default I tapped the vent dial light power wires to bring power to my home made

gauge. What kidn of gauge do they use. Sounds like you might be confused with the mounting hardware and where the light connections are....I'm a bit confused on what you are asking.

Default I routed power from ignition block 75. works fine for me....

Default Its a VDO mechanical gauge. There is a two pronged connector in the back that I have assumed is

a light. No instructions, no wires etc.

Default Everthing starts with "A." I got confused... Please take me back. :(

BTW, it should run of 12v DC, which is native, so you *should* be able to wire it like AWE suggests.

Default you should be able to pull out the light assembly by the 2 pringed connector

and have access to the bulb. That is how you would change the bulb and how you would put the colored cover over the bulb. You can either solder wires to the connectors or get the apporpriate connectors that fit those flat pins and crimp them onto the wires. Again, I didn't bother running wires all the way to the terminals, I just spliced the wires that are already there. Just simple splce taps from a hardware store. Splice the red wires and connect it to a terminal on teh gauge, and do the same with the black wire.

Ahhh...now I get it - tap into the vent light wire. Thanks.
