Default APR CHIP QUESTION

My car has been boosting too high, so what i did was put my stock ecu back in and the boost levels were fine. I then put my apr chip back in and then my boost levels were much higher than normal, I think its the chip, only in chip mode, does that make any sense? Can the chip make me overboost if its gone bad, im getting it reburned tomorrow, can i have some feedback please, thanx

Then it's possible there's a leak somewhere.

1.5 bar is high, you could have a boost leak or a faulty wastegate.

Get a pressure tester and find the leak, I doubt the problem is with the chip.
