Default APR chips doesn't seem that much faster than OEM chip. Why?

Just got done installing my APR chip in my 2000 S4 with VM1 exhaust. Replaced TBB about a year ago, checked everything that I could think of and the chip doesn't seem any faster than the stock chip.
About 2 months ago with the G-tech did 5.6 with the OEM, now with the APR still do 5.6, did some runs switching to stock (via EMCS) and I got 6.5.
I'm gonna try some more runs tomorrow, maybe I'll get better numbers but I find this kinda odd.

Any suggestions why this could happen.

Default Clear your error codes and do a TB adaptation when cold. Fixed my problem.

Make sure you let the car sit for a couple of minutes before starting after you have triggered the adaptation.

Default Also make sure the car is stone cold when you do the adaption.

I did an adaption once with some heat still in the engine and got lower power. As soon as I redid the adaption when the car was completely cold, it worked great.

It should be warmed up fully, and allowed to cool for about a half hour.

Default Check the F hose to the lower left of the throttle body. Look for oil mist or residue.

If there is any oil around the throttle body area, a leak is probably causing the loss of power.
