APR ECUx Issues --> Anyone else having these errors come up?
just bought ECUx and tried to at least read codes and im getting these issues:
run-time error '713':
class not registered.
you need the following file to be installed on your machine. MSSTDFMT.DLL.
as soon as i hit okay it kills the program. also when i go to actions-->settings i get the same error and it kills the program.
and finally, when i go to action-->check DTC codes-->load the VAG120 file--> i get 'ECU Initialization Failed'
what the heck is going on? for reference im using a USB VAG cable and the VAG works just fine with reading codes. i will send APR an email and also post on AW to see if anyone else is having issues with these errors...

Different people run into different problems. I did. Best to work with APR about...
your specific case. Bottom line is that the VAG cable can work for ECUx and VAG-COM (and Lemmi).

boo. i was hoping i wouldnt run into problems, as i have heard about them...
damn, oh well. sent an email to APR and i will ring them tomorrow morning too.

good call, did that and i was able to get past that .dll error...
now, when i try to read my codes, it seems like its hung up again.
i adjusted my settings to read from the USB. after i hit ctl alt del to kill the hung up'ness i get this error:
error communicating with ECU: result not received
this is again after i select VAG120.
