APR ECUx will need to have Vag-Com ver 5041 to work.

Hmm, when I open device manager> USB no VAG shows up.

Only3 root hubs, a mass storage, a composite device, printing support, and 3 intel host controlers...one of which is enhanced and the other are universal. Nothing with VAG in the title. I don't know what any of those things are BTW.

No. I figured it was just a windows operation.

Do I need to have it plugs in and VAG running to see the drivers in the device manager?

I believe the USB cable must be plugged in to manage the device driver
