Price is comparable to others 2.7T aftermarket manifolds on the market.

No empirical data for public release at this time. Improved geometry and material though.

Default not to instigate but.....

"The K04 turbochargers bolt up perfectly to the stock manifold. We chose to retain the stock manifold design for several reasons. The stock manifold has a small internal volume for quick spool-up and a cleverly designed dual-wall construction. The dual-wall construction keeps heat in the exhaust gases where it is needed. This increases the amount of energy available to the turbocharger turbine to spool the turbo (reduced lag/lower boost onset) and also reduces the heat transmitted to other components (an important consideration given the tight constraints). A conventional cast manifold would transmit too much heat to the surrounding components after shut down. A fabricated manifold would adversely affect lag and would transmit too much heat during operation. The factory decided to use the S4 exhaust manifolds in the RS4 and we chose to do the same for this kit."<ul><li><a href="http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/why_27ts3.html">http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/why_27ts3.html</a</li></ul>

Default Not to flame you or anything...........

But you should really have dyno proof that these things work before you start taking orders. Dropping that kind of cash on something without knowing what type of power you are going to get (if any... not to mention your power band) is asking for it..........
Of course this is all in my opinion, so take it as you will.

Default This is in response to all of you that just "had to have" improved manifolds. [more]

For some folks, the stock manifolds just weren't what they wanted. So APR decided to offer something superior for those individuals who wanted the best money can buy. The stock manifolds work fine for a Stg3 kit, but there will always somebody wanting Stg3+ or Stg4. For that person, we now offer the APR Inconel turbo manifolds. No cracking or flaking issues on these. Reliability is a given, performance will be had. It is what it is. They aren't for everybody. For those about to go Stg3, or install K04s...it's a good time to place your order for these Inconel manifolds.

Default Understood. I don't think I need dyno charts to sell these parts. [more]

Again, this is for the people who know what they want and want it now. Limited run here, not full blown production. A case of "you asked for it, you got it". Those who asked for it are now buying. Those on the fence about the whole thing will sit this one out. I need to know by Friday how many sets to manufacture. APR is not making these for inventory, they're filling special orders.
