You are assuming that their allegations are true. I'm not convicted yet. 2) Traffic moves pretty fast on these road and that speed isn't very far from the median speed. 3) That's about 159 km/h which in most of Europe, on roads such as this, would make you a moving roadblock. This country is way out of step with driving standards of countries with similar roads and similarly modern cars.

Connecticut law says that speeds abot 85 MPH are per se Reckless Driving. Connecticut cops almost never charge with Reckless because of all of the hassles involved. Instead they almost always write a Speeding ticket for 85 MPH. Reckless is an arrestable offence but Connecticut cops almost never arrest for Reckless. This is so much true that there has never been a legal case in Connecticut dealing with speed based per se Reckless Driving.
He claimed I was "uncooperative". In fact, he threatened to arrest me for refusing to answer his questions when I stopped answering a series of unrelated questions -- a roadside interrogation attempting to get incriminating evidence on an unrelated offence.

Three days following my arrest I made a short write-up on what happened and posted it on Rennteam (where I am a regular poster). For more background information, follow the link.

I wish they were radar cops. As a CT resident, I can assure you that the CT State Police weapon of choice is laser.
