ARRRGHHH! Over 4 month wait and the dealer screwed my order!

Ordered an S4 (Silver/Silver Alcantara) with convenience package only on 12/1/99. Was told to expect it in early to mid March. Just got the call today, 4/19/00 that the car arrived. Now I find out the car came with the wrong interior (silver leather/wood trim).
So now they are searching for a Silver/Silver Alcantara with convenience package only, which I think will be nearly impossible. All I ever see are loaded S4's at local dealers. What are my chances of getting a loaded S4, in the colors I want, at no upcharge from Audi? Would I be wrong to expect that for all the waiting time and frustration?
So close!

Why am I not surprised? I got a call from my salesman yesterday, telling me my '00 S4 (nogaro with onyx/blue interior, sunroof, bose) came in yesterday, 1 month early. The factory screwed up and did not install the heated seats.
I need to talk my "accountant" into letting me pick up my new baby a few weeks early

If AOA or Audi AG is listening in on this forum,
I hope it actually matters.
Since starting the process of buying my S4, I have never encountered such a$$hole salespeople, and inept parts and service personnel as I have with AOA dealers. The S4 is so wonderful it's the only thing that keeps me in the 'fold'.
(and I'm 45, and have bought probably 12 or so new cars in my experience)<p>David Bishop

If so, I can sorta see how that might be a bit monochromatic.
Hmmm, I'll swap seats if ya want! if your near Cincinnati. I've got the onyx/silver alcanta and love it, but the silver would look cool in my Hib Red.
But if your really hung up about the alum trim v. the wood you may be outta luck.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3258"><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/mnpsig2.jpg" BORDER=0></a>

Thanks for the offer!
Not a simple swap though because of the door panels as well as the trim.
I wanted the alcantara seats for the slight grip advantage over the leather, plus they wouldn't be so cold in the winter (didn't order heated seats).
Didn't really like the wood trim either.

Thanks to a buddy who's also got a TT coming in the same time, we've managed to leverage the dealer into finding either the same color combo I ordered with at least the convenience package or BETTER (bose/changer/winter pkgs) at no extra cost to me for my time or we cancel BOTH cars. Is that a buddy or what?! ![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I've been patiently waiting since December because it was a factory order. The car was supposed to arrive early to mid March, so it's already been a month overdue. For the amount of money i'm spending and the fact that it was a factory order, I shouldn't have to settle for a car that is ALMOST what I wanted. You should've heard the salesman trying to sell me on it. "It's got the silver leather interior, but it looks great!" I'm sure it does but it's not the car I ordered.
Thanks for all the feedback from the board and i'll update as soon as I get some feedback from the dealer.
