i have zero problem with people doing what they want with their cars, 99% of the time there is tons of safety margin engineered into everything. personally, i think the k04 maps are VERY conservative, and there is probably lots of room past the published overspin line. just that people start eating into that margin, and the tail end of the distribution starts killing turbos.
if you can hang with that, go for it, i know i would, just know that the further you go, the higher the odds something will happen.
add to that track days, hot weather, clogged air filter, high altitude, "owner abuse" etc. and your margin dies a bit more...
