is most likely attributed to several reasons... they updated the muffler to a seamless, laser welded can which look fantastic especially compared to a rolled seam, embossed tips where the logo does not fade when polishing, and unfortunately due to the elevated costs of raw materials related to the petroleum price hikes. The price adjustment was probably long over due and it always and still is a great value.
