Default ASP Trudual exhaust - first impressions - review

Just installed an ASP Trudul exhaust in my 2000 S4 sedan. The install was a breeze, no issues with fitment at all. However, as far as sound goes, it really has a nice deep tone from the outside, but inside is a whole different story. The droning is BRUTAL. I've heard a few different exhausts on S4's (both milteks,a 3" Borla and a techtonics dual 2.5" Borla) and this is by far the worst! I've already ordered some dynamat off ebay and i'm willing to give it a shot. If this doesn't work its going up for sale.

If anyone is considering this exhaust and interior noise is a concern, seriously go another route!

Default Give it a chance-it mellows a ton after 300 miles

I went from a silent Miltek to ASP TD plus ASP DP and freaking LOOOOVE it! The drone at 61-65 mph in 6th was bad only for the 1st few 100 miles, 700 miles now and its near gone

Default 2nd that, it's like breaking in a clutch. You have to give it some time before it really shines.

I bet you will love it after it breaks in.

I had the same opinion. Traded it after about 1,000 miles.

My VM3 is like that too. The drone kills me, though I love it when accelerating.

Default Carbon build up will quiet it a bit. But even with 20,000+ miles, my ASP always droned on highway.

There is no way around it unless you dynamat.
