Default I think aesthetics would be the main reason. Plus, it's easy to install and no need for

cutting or modifying of the area. This is what mine looks like. Also, it's difficult to get a hold of a Nav Plus unit as oppose to an aftermarket GPS unit.

Default Me likey, but how's it work?

It uses DVD's? How hard is it to get discs. Is the entire US on one disc or is it not DVD based? Fill me in please.

Default It would probably be a waste, but could you use an aftermarket NAV unit with NAV+ as the display?

Just feed the aftermarket NAV display into the auxiliary input on the NAV+.

That way you could have DVD Navigation (single disc) but still clean integration.

Just thinking out loud... As much as I like the NAV+, I'm not planning on shelling out the cash for it.
