All this action does is open up the floodgates for future larger scale and more frequent terrorist acts.
If OBL didn't have proper justification before, he sure does now.

to let those directly responsible for the acts of 9.11.01 be free to go on with their lives and their terrorist activities with impunity is to encourage further and even larger attacks (as evidenced by Somalia, Tanzania --> USS Cole --> then the WTC & Pentagon bombings)... unfortunately, military action is the only way to bring these people to justice... as well, this shows the world that we will do the same to any other country or government that harbors terrorists leaders and organizations that attack the US....IMHO.

The world is full of crazy fanatics who will go bomb anything in their crazy cause. Is America prepared to wage continuous guerilla/partisan war around the whole world? Once soldiers start dying, the position will change IMO...

over 6,000 US civilians died on US soil... it'll be hard to shake public support for fighting and catching those responsible. If the US can keep *long term* economic and political pressure - with a military threat - on countries, governments and financial institutions to not harbor terrorists long after the military action subsides, it'll be MUCH harder for terrorist organizations to continue to operate (at least on a large and organized scale such as the WTC & Pentagon attacks).... there will always be wacked individuals - that's the nature of humans :-( IMHO.
