Audi dealer says..replacing rear view mirror - windsheild will break??
I need a new Auto dim rear view mirror. I am out of warranty, but Audi said they would pick up 75% of the cost ("goodwill"). So far that is GREAT, but they tell me there is an 80% chance the windshield will break when they take the bad mirror off - and that is MY PROBLEM!
Have any of you had a mirror replaced?

No problem. Get the compass mirror as a replacement.

you can sooo take it off without breaking the glass
i replaced mine with the 2002 model year compass mirror....by myself in 20 mins
if you want...contact me for the OEM mirror. I have an extra as I installed a compass mirror.
