Anyone have experience with the Audi S4 Cat Back stainless exhaust system advertised in the accessories catalog for $895? How does it compare w/ Borla/Neuspeed etc. performance and price-wise? Can you post a pic? Appreciate it.

When I picked up my S4 from the dealer I found this exhaust in the Audi collection catalog. I asked the parts department what the increase in HP would be. They did not know and said that they would call Audi and get the information. I received a call-back yesterday, according to Audi the exhaust is good for a maximum HP increase of 2HP. It appears that the exhaust is more for show than go. Hope this helps with your decision.

that a true cat back exhaust would only provide 2 additional HP - wonder if that's right. Agree that it's not worth buying that system if just for show - if I'm going to chip my car, would make sense to install an exhaust that would add HP and take some load off the turbos.

How about the fact that Porsche offers a 24hp engine power upgrade as a factory option on their 911 Carrera with full warranty?
