fix an oil leak. I know that the RMS is a complicated and labor intensive repair, but could you imagine paying for this out of pocket and having to take the car back 2 more times to get it right (but still thinking in the back of your mind that it could start leaking again at any time...). What happens when they have a really complicated repair job? I would have tried lemoning mine if the RMS had happened two months earlier; timing is everything. Why would AoA put up with so many multiple attemtps at fixing such a thing? By the time my car hits the end of warranty, it will be a red ink proposition for AoA for sure. I have to think that the dealer is charging AoA at least $2K for a RMS replacement. The profit certainly has to be gone from your Allroad by now.

I would rate the dealers I have dealt with in between completely clueless and brainless. Mostly, they destroyed more than they repaired. Some are outright malicious. No dealer gets to touch my car anymore until August 2005.
