Default Audi is replacing my tranny...
For those of you who responded to my questions about tranny being stuck in 2nd, I just received notification that they would be replacing the transmission. Said something to the fact that there were problems with the synchronizers in that particular model tranny, and would be replacing it with the updated tranny--Sweeeet! Should be finished first of next week. The Jetta they gave me to drive broke down, so they gave me a new A4. (Although a Porsche would have been nice considering my troubles). Thanks again for your comments.

So you get a whole new trans.. GOod deal...

I wonder how many replacements have been doled out...a friend over here said that there were 3 s4's getting them as we speak

that's an odd one...maybe because the techs aren't tranny experts?

Default eh? they replaced mine... the 1st/2nd synchro slider, and 1st and 2nd gears...
*shrug*

been ok so far... (broke at 30k miles, I'm at 53k now)

yep, they fixed mine, it was noisy, I kept complaining of the noise and they eventually replaced it.

Mine had the EXACT same problem (2nd gear stuck)... they replaced mine in December
