Just visiting from the TT forum, but I figured you guys will appreciate it more than the TTers. Did a search and saw that you guys raced/talked more about LS1's.
Elevation, ~2300ft above sea level, 69*F, ~45% humidity, location: Spokane Raceway, Street Drag night. It's basically calling people out, and then line up, race the 1/4, and a light for the winner...
I'm in a TT -
engine mods: GruppeM intake, H valve, all Samco hoses, Forge FMIC, ECS underdrive pulleys, custom 3" dp, test pipe, 3" custom exhaust, custom XR chip, 5 gal toluene/7 gal 92 ~ 101 oct, ported tb and intake manifold, Werks of Art Stg 3 clutch
wheels and suspension: Custom SL3, 19x8.5 w/ 245/35 f, 19x9.5 w/ 275/30 rears. Hr sport springs/Bilstein sport shocks
Firebird: LS1 engine, headers and exhaust, 300+whp.
Firebird see me, walks over to look at my fancy TT, asks if I want to race and inquires about my engine. I tell him it's only a 1.8l (vs. 5.7 V8), rated at 225 hp...but I tell him I have a few mods. I've dynoed on ATP's dyno at 245 whp/265 wtq on 91 oct (custom X chip) and was had wheel spin on the rollers...not sure what 100 oct XR would yield.
After the race, the rest of the Ls1 big block guys wanted to race this little TT.
Btw, still had all my stereo (subs) and other junk in the car. This was my first time to do 1/4's.
Here's the <a href="http://spilky.com/races/audifb.wmv"> video </a>...enjoy!
Btw, this is my car:

The actual filter is pretty large, and with at ~5" opening into a velocity stack, it rocks!

this was my first 1/4 runs, and would have liked it to have been time inorder to have a base that I could compare later.
Since the S4's are more of the Ls1's competitor, thought it was just interesting to see a 1.8L TT (stock turbo) out run a 300whp V8.
I could only get an idea of the time from where I break start line and pass the finish (see the light).

for $6, what can I expect. Lots of fun racing, but will have to go on a night they do use the clock.
No turbo upgrade yet as there isn't really something available for the 225 version of the TT other than doing a stand alone. There's only a handful of stg 3 225s here...lots of 180 TT's have done stage 3.
It's something to plan for tho.
