I went up to bigbear this weekend with my snow tires on, car performed great, it was raining/snowing the whole time and pretty crappy weather overall, expecially for skiing. While up there, it was either go through some puddles, or you are not going to get down the hill. I went through some pretty big ones and I think I have a problem.
My radiatior fan (not after run fan) but the bigger fan behind the raidiator will not shut off. It is loud. After I turn the car off the fan jsut keeps running. It runs until the battery is dead. I cannot figure it out and any help is appreciated. I am sure that you guys in the midwest/east coast have had some harsh winters, and may have experiance in this. The car is in the garage now with the battery unpluged so I can get it started tomorrow. Thanks for your input!

happens to me when I wash the engine bay. I had some frayed wires also, this doesn't help things. If you can, unplug the sensor from the lower coolant hose and let it air dry a while (coupel days). IMO it's ok to run the car this way. You can rotate the whole housing to get a better angle at the release mechanism.

Might want to check that thing to see if it got wet/frozen and bridged. Also there is bound to be a fuse in the box for that - you could pull it and watch the temps for a while to drive...
