Are there any performance differences between these two kits? 2Bennett has a 6 piston GT kit for well under what the AWE Brembo kit costs. Archives dont directly compare the two.

Hey guys. Just wanted to jump in and shed some light. I shared some information in a similar thread a couple weeks back. Check this link:
https://forums.audiworld.com/brakes/msgs/1399.phtml
The two kits in this thread are very different and not very comparable. As I mentioned in the other thread, the 2Bennet "Brembo" name gives the illusion that the kit is somehow related or endorsed by Brembo. IT IS NOT. the only relation is that Brembo manufacturers the calipers for Porsche, and 2Bennett gets their calipers from Porsche.
The kit is as simple as finding a good deal on overstocked Porsche calipers and adapting them to fit your Audi. The 6-piston caliper mentioned in this thread was designed specifically for a 5000lb all-wheel drive SUV...NOT a 3900lb front wheel or all-wheel drive passenger car.
The kit's from AWE are the same as seen in Brembo's Gran Turismo product line. Specifically designed aftermarket components, specifically engineered for your specific application.
There is a strong allure to the thought of a low price Brembo brake system. That's why the couple people mentioned in this thread are able to keep making and selling these "adapted" type kits. It's also why there are so many Asian manufactured look-a-like kits now. Mix that with creative marketing and it appears to be a viable option.
And I understand that allot of you have budgets for each mod you make to your vehicle. BUT, you must beware of kits that say Brembo in the title or advertising, and look like Brembo, but do not come directly from Brembo. I know it may sound cliche, but with brakes...You Get What You Pay For.
That's why the top three manufacturers in braking, Brembo...AP...and ALCON are always more expensive. Quality, performance and safety don't come cheap.
Brembo also has a much wider range of product for the Audi's that most of you may know about. They have complete, specifically designed and engineered 4-piston systems starting at $1495.
Check with an authorized Brembo dealer or call Brembo directly if you have any questions. They are many Authorized Brembo dealers that advertise right here on Audi World.
