Default AWE S-Flo owners - Just upgraded my filter to an AEM dryflow (#21-203DK) -->

If you're not a fan of foam filters like me, I highly recommend this setup. Honestly, I felt a slight difference when I put this filter in and replacing the foam element. Also I do believe it will hold up much better to Stage 3+ setups. From what I understand, one of the major complaints about the S-Flo is that its not suitable for stage 3 cars because the filter element calapses. This AEM filter should be highly resistant to that, and its non oiled. Fits perfectly in the Airbox. Give it a shot if you have a spare $40.

Default the reason it wont work for s3 cars is because the tube is too small

s3 cars use either a modded stock box or an rs4 box. both of which have an opening of ~92mm

Ah. I guess I missed that. I've heard often that the filter calapses as well.

Default i dont know how anyone would test that being that it doesnt fit

however ITG filters are awesome and im very skeptical as to the validity of the "collapsing" claim.

Default I guess I missed the fact that a larger intake tube is necessary when you go to K04's..

I don't know how, but I don't recall reading that anywhere as a necessity. In either case, I've personaly never been a fan of foam filters and just felt I'd report what I found in case anyone was interested. The car definitely feels its breathing better when I went to the dryflow.

One personal observation is that the ITG filter already seemed a bit deformed and "twisted" slightly at 10k miles.

Default that could be from having the filter sit too low and hitting the inside of the housing

*shrugs*

One day I'll do my best to run some logs and check out the airflow rate.
