Default I have a DryFlow great filter, just remember to use 4" tubing or silicone hose before the MAF

to reduce G/S numbers if you are seeing really high G/S.

I am not a fan of filters you have to oil. But ITG makes a great filter and will not calapse.

There are stage 3 kits that use stock airbox....don't use S-flo unless you want to collapse.

Default AWE, duh.

Their reason for designing that retarded MAF was to mate with a stock airbox. Most, if not all, of the collapses have occured with AWE stage 3 cars. If you STFA, you will see Todd/Mike saying it's a bad idea to use the S-flo for that exact reason.

Default Hmmm .. I thought the AWE silicon MAF to YPipe hose collapsed. Not the

air filter.

Maybe I'm wrong ? AWE later required a hole to be drilled in the stock airbox ala Darin to provide more air.

Default Not so! AWE s3 fueling kit uses stock unmodded airbox. S-Flo will fit w/ system, but...

it simply can't handle the airflow. That filter is only rated for something like 250-300 hp. so it creates vacuum in the intake, and the accordian hose collapes, not the air filter itself. The real question is why AWE ever use an S-flo. If AWE is going to sell a "high performance intake, it ought to be better than that, and compatible with higher hp setups. My 2 cents, learned the hard way.

Default True, you have to cut the hole for S3 setup. But even then the S-flo filter is inadequate.

AWE recommends drop-in panel filter for S3.
